As acorn season kicked off in September, a CA Ground Squirrel had begun pillaging a Black Oak tree and in the process was breaking off small laden branches. This Merriam's Chipmunk was making the most of it.

The fur on the head is longer and sort of electric than the ones I have seen in Thailand.
