When i first got the 5dmkiii it seemed to take wonderfull pictures but now it seems the picture i take is not as sharp as the image i see in the lense. I took some video and the video images are much sharper then still shots of the same subject mater and light conditions. Can you help me with this.I am sure its the settings. Thanks for any advise.

If you have not changed the setting, the images are saved in the best quality.

What settings and lens do you use (aperture, shutter speed etc.)? Handheld ord not?

It´s a fact that the images you see through the viewfinder are much sharper and better than the images saved as JPG. The JPG-image quality from the 5D Mark III are in my opinion unusable and a big step worser then the JPG-images from the 5D Mark II or 1Ds Mark III (only from ISO 50 to ISO 800).

I can think of a few reasons why this may be happening.

1- You may need to do AFMA on your camera to fix any front or back focusing.
2- You may need to use a higher shutter speed to reduce blur from camera shake.
3- You maybe need to use a narrower aperture to have enough depth of field.
