Just got back from the camera shop where the dealer told me the confirmed price drop for the 5D2 will be $2,199 starting tomorrow.

This should make those who were waiting to score a 5D2 at a discount fairly happy!

This should make those who were waiting to score a 5D2 at a discount fairly happy!

And far worse for someone trying to use their 5D2 sale to pay for a 5D3, just makes the $3500 seem even worse.

I've only seen it for about $2,400 on some of the major sellers online (B&H, Adorama, Amazon). Which sites are selling for $1,900-$2,000?

Got an email from Hunt's yesterday listing the 5D2 at $2199.00 and the 5D3 preorder at $3499.99

Give it a couple of more months, once 5D Mk III's are out there, then the 5D Mk II will be at most $1,999. It pays to wait....just a bit longer.
