Before people get heart palpitations, remember: DC is for crop rigs only. So this is the second super high end pickle jar zoom for crop rigs that Sigma has made.

Fascinated that Sigma sees an opportunity in the market for a (roughly/speculated) $1,500 crop-only lens.

Seeing this announcement makes me pretty happy. The new art lens seems to be successful in matters of the Zoom possibility, but remaining the quality of a fixed focal distance. With the f 1.8 it surely offers great opportunities for enlightened pictures with an easy way of handling it.
