Canon is doing a full court press to sell these before the reality hits that its just another camera, and, while its a good one, its over priced. Expect it to be selling on ebay for $1300 in 6 months.
That's just the way things work. Large numbers are sold at full price when a new model comes out. Then, the price starts dropping as production exceeds demand. Its difficult to slow production, production is planned out at least a year, likely two in advance, components are ordered and in the pipeline, so they create demand by lowering prices or offering freebies.
Camera makers have started adding incentives to purchasers of new models almost from the first day. Nikon is slashing prices on their new FF bodies too.

So far people seem positive about the new 7Dll.I don't think you'll see 1300 for a while. The 7D kept it's price up for a very long time. I can see it hitting more like 1499 down the line. Then you could hit 1300 as a refurb sale.

I bought my first 7D for $1200 new after a $200 "rebate" from Microsoft. 280,000 photo later, i think it has paid for itself. There wis a 7DII in my future, but I can give it 2-6 months... Plus, you know there is going to be an issue that requires a recall/fix...

Thought the LaCie bonus was 'in addition to' the pre-order bundle Canon Canada initially offered...but not so! Canon had previously advertised that pre-order bundles would be available if a 7D Mark II was pre-ordered by Nov. 15th.
Without notice...pre-orders offering these bundles ended,prematurely,on Oct. 29th. The LaCie bonus kicked in on Oct. 30th.
Although the link I initially posted does not indicate these offers are mutually exclusive, apparently, it's either pre- order bundle OR LaCie,but not both.
The following from a retailer's site ( and other retailers report similar):
