The forum will be moving to a new domain in the near future (canonrumorsforum.com). I have turned off "read-only", but I will only leave the two forum nodes you see active for the time being.

I don't know at this time how quickly the change will happen, but that will move at a good pace I am sure.

Anyone ever use the Canon underwater housing with the Canon G12? Any thoughts on results? I already have the camera and want to experiment a little with some shots but don't want to invest heavily in expensive gear that I'm not going to use a lot. Thanks.

I have a G10 with the Canon underwater housing. The case is very well made, but the G10 is just too slow under water. The autofocus is average above water, under water it gets real tough to achieve focus. There is a long learning curve until you figure out how to use the combo. My biggest complain is just that due to the camera having such a hard time focusing, you miss a lot of the action under water. However, I do have a few beautiful pictures, but most of them are lucky shots or "scenery" shots. The G12 may be better in the focussing department, and that would help tremendously.

I love underwater imagery ... like it so much that I sell the housings for it!
