On previous images on my 5D3, whenever I want to preview the image, I just need to hit the space bar on the Mac pointing to the file, and the preview image enlarge on the screen. When I tried to do the same thing on the image files that are from 5D4, it wouldn't open. Anyone knows why?

I believe it is because you are not updated to the latest MacOS (and if you are, then Apple hasn't updated for it yet). I'm still on OSX 10.10 so my 1DXii images just show up as icons. If I updated to the latest OS I would be able to preview them.

This means the 5D4 RAWs are not yet supported by macOS.
As far as I can tell this is the current list of supported cameras:
