I recently bought a Sigma 150-600 Contemporary (love it) and have a Carbon Fiber gimbal head for it. I have found that, since the foot only has one screw hole, I can't get it as secure as I'd like. I find that, no matter how tight I try to screw the Arca plate onto the foot, when I pan with the Gimbal head, after a while, the foot comes loose and starts to turn on the plate. I'm just wondering what tricks (if any) those of you with either this lens or the similar Tamron have to mitigate this problem? I think the Sigma Sport lens allows you to screw on the foot at two points, but the C model only has one screw hole on the foot.

Thoughts, ideas?

Wimberley recommends the P-30, you can see the nubs at the back.

This should fit the bill nicely:

I have a few of them in various lengths - zero issues over the last few years.
