I have a couple of questions regarding the Reikan Focal Pro.

When callibrating on my 1Dx, is it possible to have two values programmed for a non-zoom lens? When I have callibrated my 135L with the focus limiter on 1.6 meters it gives me a AFMA of +5, but when I callibrate it on the .9 meter, it gives me a value of +3. Can I have both, and will the camera recognize which setting I have on the lens?

Second, and related. How do you put in two values for a zoom lens, say the 70-200 @70 and @200?

In advance, thanks.

Not sure about 2 values for the same prime lens.

But for a zoom lens, the process is automatic.
Run FoCal with your lens zoomed fully out, and FoCal will know to set the Wide MFA setting.
Run it again with the lens zoomed fully in, and FoCal will know to set the Tele MFA setting.

(When it asks you if it is OK to save the MFA setting it does tell you whether it is setting the Wide or Tele setting)

Pretty simple really :)
But not obvious, because they don't make it fully clear in the documentation.

No, you can only input one value for a prime lens, and that doesn't really make sense that the focus limiter would affect AFMA unless you calibrated from different distances. You should calibrate it from around 25x focal length - 3.38m for the 135.

In the AFMA menu there are two settings that appear when a zoom lens is attached - W(ide) & T(elephoto). You calibrate the wide, set the AFMA, then move the lens back & calibrate the telephoto - or vice versa.

The setting of the focus literature switch should make absolutely no difference in the value, assuming you're testing at the same distance. I always run each test more than once in any case, because there can be some variability especially if your setup is less than ideal.

If you're actually testing at those minimum focus distances, that's not a good idea unless you also plan to usually shoot at those distances. Typical testing distances for the 135L would be 3.5-6.5 m
