Nikon didn't exaclty made lots of them in the past, but they are making one nowWhen's the last time Canon made a 35mm 1.2?

Too late! The V1 is Canon's first MFT and more expensive than the hypothetical R1000.Even better, R1000! It'll be Canon's first MFT! If you liked no touch screen, then you'll love no screen at all. One person complained that the mode dial and regular dial were two far apart, so now they are combined into one confusing dial! Did the R100 have two many buttons? Well not anymore! Now there's just two!
I hope it will have a single pressable front dial and the shutter button that has to be pressed in conjunction with the dial to navigate the menu. Besides those two there should only be a huge and prominently placed on/off/video Switch located on the evf where the hotshoe normally is.Even better, R1000! It'll be Canon's first MFT! Entierement d'accord.

Sounds like a Sony...I hope it will have a single pressable front dial and the shutter button that has to be pressed in conjunction with the dial to navigate the menu.
oog, I shoot birds MFT at 800, 1,000, and 1,400 FF equivalent, and I still crop. I have to get closer. At least that sharp, 1,400 mm f/16 (compromises) equivalent weighs just over 5 ½ lbs.Canon's first MFT????
Canon in cahoots with OM-systems and Panasonic? That'll be the day!
As a matter of fact, all of us bird shooters work with MFT already. We only lug have bigger, heavier camera bodies and lenses around and we call it "cropping".![]()
They just released the 35mm 1.4. Don't expect another 35mm for another 5 years, at least....soooo... no 35 1.2L in 2025?![]()
How about R7 + RF 1200 f/8 + 2x extenderoog, I shoot birds MFT at 800, 1,000, and 1,400 FF equivalent, and I still crop. I have to get closer. At least that sharp, 1,400 mm f/16 (compromises) equivalent weighs just over 5 ½ lbs.
Not necessarily, the 1.2 would be a different class of lensThey just released the 35mm 1.4. Don't expect another 35mm for another 5 years, at least.
Indeed, the f/1,2 35mm would perfectly complete the 50mm and 85mm f/1,2. The f/1,4, though excellent, plays in a different league. Not necessarily, the 1.2 would be a different class of lens
Tbh we need EF-M 22 & 32 into RF-S.... Canon is giving away to Sigma 24 & 30(and Yongnuo 35/1.8) is quite an un-Canon moveThere should be one RF-S prime as well, hopefully before summer. Canon will probably not announce anything before price adjustments take place.
