Nikon didn't exaclty made lots of them in the past, but they are making one now

One person complained that the mode dial and regular dial were two far apart, so now they are combined into one confusing dial! Did the R100 have two many buttons? Well not anymore! Now there's just two!

Too late! The V1 is Canon's first MFT and more expensive than the hypothetical R1000.

I hope it will have a single pressable front dial and the shutter button that has to be pressed in conjunction with the dial to navigate the menu. Besides those two there should only be a huge and prominently placed on/off/video Switch located on the evf where the hotshoe normally is.

Entierement d'accord. Canon doit imperativement soigner les vraies priorites.
Cependant, la logique de production et de developpement est independante de celle de la conception d'un firmware. Il devrait cependant etre possible de concilier les deux.
N'oublions pas non plus que certaines "nouveautes" ont ete annoncees il y a quelques annees deja, et qu'elles sont impatiemment attendues, entre autres par Bibi...
Quant a ce fameux firmware, j'espere egalement un effet positif sur la decharge acceleree de l'accu!

Je ne suis pas un spécialiste, mais j'ai bien l'impression que ce qui retarde l'entrée sur le marché des nouveaux appareils n'a que très peu à voir avec les raisons qui expliquent que le nouveau Firmware du R5ii n'est pas encore disponible.

Le retard du R6iii, par exemple, semble lié à des questions politiques, commerciales et matérielles, alors que les solutions à apporter aux problèmes du R5ii sont purement technologiques.

Comme on dit chez nous, Canon peux marcher et mâcher de la gomme en même temps!

As a matter of fact, all of us bird shooters work with MFT already. We only lug have bigger, heavier camera bodies and lenses around and we call it "cropping".

oog, I shoot birds MFT at 800, 1,000, and 1,400 FF equivalent, and I still crop. I have to get closer. At least that sharp, 1,400 mm f/16 (compromises) equivalent weighs just over 5 ½ lbs.

Indeed, the f/1,2 35mm would perfectly complete the 50mm and 85mm f/1,2. The f/1,4, though excellent, plays in a different league.

Tbh we need EF-M 22 & 32 into RF-S.... Canon is giving away to Sigma 24 & 30(and Yongnuo 35/1.8) is quite an un-Canon move
