Sell T4i for 5d ii?

Would it be smart to sell my T4i and buy a used 5d ii? I have found some great deals on craigslist, which I would only have to invest a couple hundred more dollars. But I am scared to go back in time since the 5dii came out 4 years ago. Mark 5d iii is not even in my range. I just bought a 24-105mm L lens so it would be a good match. Any input? Thank you

There are things that are older and less up-to-speed about it but the 5d2 is still a great camera. Your 24-105 will suddenly shine. I'd do it.

The T4i sensor isn't much newer than the 5D II if that makes it easier. T2i, T3i, T4i, 7D, 60D all have the same sensor as far as I know. I just made the switch from T2i(again, had 5D II in the past). The noise is just so much kinder on some low detail scenes.

If you are not invested in EF-S lenses and do not need the crop factor for any specific purpose, I'd say go for it.

Even if you have EF-S lenses, get the 5DmkII, then work on getting some EF glass (preferably L). You won't believe the difference a FF makes, especially with the 5DmkII. Just, do it.

Thanks for the help. Just listed on craigslist, so I will see what happens. I have the 24-105mm L, 50mm 1.4 and 70-300mm (I have that on craigslist also for some extra cash).

I'm in a similar boat - whether I should upgrade from my 60D to the 5d mkii. One of the main reasons I wanted the 60D over the t3i was the cross type auto focus points. I'm not sure I want to go back... not to mention the 5+ shots per second over the 3.1 (or whatever it was).

Then I think, maybe I can just keep two bodies... it's all quite perplexing.

If you can afford to keep the two bodies then definitely keep them - great IQ from full frame and extra reach from your 60d - sweet! ;D

Definitely yes, it will be a major step for you. I did the same from T2 to 5D2 and I never looked back.
