I don't see a 'film' section on here, so I'll post this here for now. My question is about shipping film for processing in the mail. Where I live, it's fairly hot right now (low to mid 90's F). In case you haven't seen the news Ilford just opened up a processing lab in San Clemente, CA, a thousand miles or so from me. If I send them film for processing, it's going to be 3-4 days (at least) in that kind of heat, which I understand is no bueno for film. Even if I overnight it (and doubling the expense of processing), it's going to be sitting on a hot tarmac for at least a short while. So...do I just put my rolls ready for processing in the freezer and wait for cooler temps? I've probably just answered my own question. I was just wondering what others do who send out their film. Thanks in advance.

It's a fascinating sign of the times that the OP needs to ship his film a thousand miles for C41 processing.
If you plan to continue shooting color neg film, home C41 processing is a fairly simple matter.
Just before digital came in, news shooters successfully processed C41 color neg film in hotel rooms across the planet.

But for your current dilemma? Just ship it. It will be fine. Alternatively, rent a refrigerated truck...

I loved the refrigerated truck, I want one for me too. ;D Seriously, photographers used film in temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius for a few hours without major problems. The worst would leave him in a black car with closed windows parked in the summer sun, which could reach over 60 degrees celsius.
