You can do this with some 3rd party zooms designed for APS-C, e.g. the Tokina 11-16 f/2.8 has acceptable vignetting on FF at 16mm and works as a 14-16 on APS-H, but I think for primes you're out of luck.
I have used this on a 7D. Very sharp lens. I found the AF to be hit and miss, especially in lower light. When it is on - wow, super sharp - or if you manually focus.
I have shot with this lens on the 1.3 crop on a 1D Markiii and comes with some amazing results the corners are not tack sharp but it you crop the photo just slightly it makes all the difference...
