I recently got the new Galaxy S4 which features an infrared diode. As other new smartphones come along with IR diodes I was wondering if somebody knows an application which would turn these IR diodes into a remote trigger for our beloved cameras?
I tried 'DSLR Remote' which makes use of external diodes, but it did not work with my 5D3. I mean, I can control my whole TV and Bluray player setup using just the phone, so it must be possible somehow?
Btw, I can recommend the application 'DSLR Controller' made by Chainfire - it requires an USB cable but has some nice functionality like automatic focus stacking, time lapse and so on.
I'd be glad to hear about your opinions regarding the IR diode - maybe there is an Android developer among us?
