The likelihood of a Canon EOS R6 Mark III this year is near zero

a cripple hammer move by canon, like they've done with the R5ii, by making the 3rd party batteries obsolete, (not exactly an enviromentally friendly move by canon), would make a R6iii a no go for me.
Until this reference to the cripple hammer I thought you were genuinely asking for advice, but now it seems to me that this is all just trolling.

Panasonic, Fuji, Sony, all these brands produce perfect non-crippled cameras, and environment-friendly too!
If I were you, I knew where I'd go to...

…. I bought the R6ii to replace my broken 6dii, I wish I'd nearly bought a new 6dii now.
Do you mean you wish you’d really bought a 6Dii ? To wish that you’d nearly bought one rather suggests that whilst you’re pissed off with your R6II now, you know that in time you’ll likely learn to love it.

Nope, 6dii did what I wanted it to do. R6ii does what it wants to do. And thats after 2 years of messing with AF settings in camera etc.
