It makes economic sense for them to use their 1.4" sensor in multiple PowerShot models. The 1" Sony sensor that they used to use won't work, because it doesn't have DPAF. APS-C would work though.

Sorry Admin, don't mean to burst your bubble, but the LUMIX Flow and LUMIX Lab apps both knock it out the park. Both apps are quick, functional, and do what they are intended to. Download LUTs, create LUTs, quickly edit fotos. And the LUMIX Flow is an external monitor with video workflow app. Canon not completely embracing Real Time LUTs in favor of it's proprietary Picture Profiles is a major bummer. R50v with LUTs in video only is ok, but doesn't quite cut the mustard when compard to my Lumix devices. LUTs provide a seamless consistant Look across all platforms regardless of brand.
