you guys really comparing a 5 year old camera that was aimed to compete against nikons D300 and debuted at $1699 to a 1d3 or a 1d4, which both debuted over $4k, competing against a better camera, and physically has a bigger sensor? And expecting them to beat the law of physics by producing a newer camera that does better than a camera system with a bigger sensor... mmkay... I guess you guys are what makes these forums fun to read...

It amazes me when people talk about "a complete lack of R&D" and the like. We've had DPAF, that's not evolutionary stuff. We've got articulated touch screens on DSLRS and implemented very well too. All that with precious little in the way of quality issues.

It might not be exactly what each individual is asking for but these are things that other manufacturers were left trailing by. Let's at least try and keep a little perspective.

The reason for buying my 1d4 and 5d3 was the user interface and the lenses, I have and love.
For sure it was not the sensor.

Who's a troll and what was said that's unreasonable? The 1DIV is widely available for the price the 7D2 is expected to be and does all the things Nancy asked for. The other guy said that even the 1DIII would be an improvement over the 60D in the specs that they listed and that body is even cheaper. How is any of this incorrect information?
