Thunderbolt in the new 5DMK3

There's a huge amount of rumoured specs on the forum about the forthcoming 5DMK3 but very little about Thunderbolt connectivity. I seem to recall Canon making an announcement a year ago about the possibility of using this technology but it seems to have gone silent since then. Can we assume it won't be on the new 5DMK3?

Isn't the thunderbolt icon exactly the same as the lightning bolt?

ahhaha... you would think the camera dont use the flash port but a TB instead? a 5dm3 a PC then?

Also why would Canon limit the user base of its cameras to people that have new Macs?

If anything it will have USB3 (backwards compatible to USB2) or a Thunderbolt to USB adapter of some kind (add on extra).

Maybe in a year or so once thunderbolt gains more traction otherwise its a lost battle, They may as well put Firewire 800 on it. It will gain them as many customers.
