Update on the Canon RF 200-800mm f/6.3-9 IS USM

But, but 400mm DO II is so nice. And there is also the 1.4XIII albeit only for a 560mm f/5.6 lens. I had some reservations for the IQ at 800 at f/8 too and you do not make it easy sir with your exceptional scientific tests. I still love it though (I just have to find a use for it : OK until I sell my last 2 FF DSLR Canon cameras it stays! )

I'm keeping my 400mm DO II. I just won't use it with the 2X extender anymore and will use the RF 200-800mm instead.

I order Nov 13 and it is still no there. I sold my RF100-400 and RF800 this week, thinking I would get this lens before then.

So I cancel and I hope to get it next year at the Canon outlet.

This lens is still selling faster than Canon can make them, but if you ordered in Nov and still didn't get your lens, then clearly something happened at your retailer (as in they lost the order).

I ordered 200-800 yesterday from B&H. "Backordered". Snooping around I discover "not until October". Other
than "Canon can't make them fast enough" ... any better dates/current availability from another source?

Or check local stores and grey import.... As far as I know there's excess of 200-800 in HK.

Panamoz is selling it for the exact price I can get it for locally And here in the Netherlands a 200-800 pops up every now and then.
