Neuro, how often do you use your MP-E 65? I'm considering one, but wonder how much I'll take it out of the bag to spend a day hunting small things. (I suspect a lot, but I'm interested to hear how you use yours).

Might as well make something productive of this thread! ;)

Not as often as I'd like, but I've been pretty busy lately, and winter in New England is not the best time for outdoor shooting - I'd like to say that winter is finally over, but the fact that there was 3" of fresh snow on the ground this morning means that's not really true. Still, forecast is 50° and sunny tomorrow, so budding flowers and active bugs will be back soon.

FWIW, I've found that it's a lot more fun to use when you have the MT-24EX to pair with it. 5x magnification means a lot of light lost; indoors in a calm environment you can expose for several seconds to make up for that, but with a slight breeze or a little movement, a flash is a big help, and the MT-24EX is optimal for the MP-E 65mm.
