Weird filename and number 5D Mark III

Hey guys, long time lurker, but I noticed something and wanted to see if anyone else had the same thing with their 5D Mark III.

I was one of the lucky few to snag from the small batch from Crutchfield and got mine from UPS this afternoon. Just got home after shooting some straight out of the box, but I noticed my filenames start with GY0C and the first number is 9693 for the very first image I shot. That seems a little odd to me and makes me worry that I may not be the first to touch my camera. I can't remember if Canon tapes their boxes either, but my camera box was not taped and opening up seemed a little off for some reason too. Everything appears to be there, but something doesn't seem right.

Anybody got any insight?

its fully customisable in the menus, seems to a random prefix mixture you can set that yourself though

yeah, I knew that, it just seemed really weird to have something so random set (not IMG_) and start at that file number

Figured it out. Dumb me. The camera comes from Canon with a unique prefix and the number is from my old card that was used in my 5D Mark II. Guess I should have read the manual first!
