This is not surprising as it is essentially a re-labeled T4i :

There are some incremental positives. It's up to the customer to decide if they are worth the extra money.

Mind you, I don't mind this $$ grab by canon by tweaking & renaming the T4i. Given that I'd like to update my P&S (a T2i) to something w/ a touchscreen. & the T5i will likely push the T4i refurbs/CLP's down in price within the next 6-12 months (the black friday sale should be nice this year for the T4i, 60D, 7D & maybe even the 5D2/3??).

But I'm truly curious, does anyone really believe that the T5i is even an incremental upgrade? I understand that it may be a little embarassing to hard core Canon fans but I really don't care what Canon does with their rebel line. If it helps Canon stay profitable, I really don't mind.

Honestly, some of their marketing descions on lens offerings (focal lengths, etc.) is what aggravates me...

So, the T4i -> T5i rebadging went smoothly, after all. Geez, how did they do it.

I do hope that they don't get good at it, btw ... if you know what I mean.

Historically Canon has almost always released their gear shortly after their announcement ... its only recently that they've been delayed on a few items e.g. 200-400mm lens
