What is better: wait for 11-22 or buy 15-30?

It seems that waiting for the 11-22 becomes an endless story! Shall I buy the 15-30 in stead? Has anyone some experience with that lens for the RF (R10)?

The R10 is a 1.6 crop sensor camera. The 15-30 has a full frame equivalency of 24-48mm on the R10. An 11-22 will have an equivalency of 17-35mm.

If the 11-22 is anything like the EF version, it will be a very expensive lens that displays minimal distortion on a full-frame body. If you are using a crop sensor body, you will be paying a premium for optical qualities that are going to be cropped out by the smaller sensor. The 15-30 is a stop faster than the EF 11-24, which is likely to be at least $600 more expensive.

So, ask yourself if having a 17mm wide angle is worth the extra expense when compared to a 24mm (equivalent) lens that is far less costly.

Alternatively, you can pick up a 2.8 Tokina 11-20 in EF-S mount and use an adapter for a fraction of the cost of either lens.

I presume the OP is referring to waiting for an RF-S 11-22mm similar to the EF-M 11-22mm, and not an RF 11-24/4 similar to the EF 11-24L.

Given that the RF-S 18-150 comprises the optics of the M18-150 in a new barrel with a new mount, an inexpensive, variable aperture RF-S 11-22 is a reasonable expectation.

I would wait until the next set of RF-S lenses.
If that doesn't include the RF-S 11-22, then go ahead and get the RF 15-30.
Recent rumors indicate that it's coming soon, with the R100, which will be the R50 without the EVF.

With RF-S 10-18 available now....I think going for that small lens is better than 15-30. 15-30 on R10 will become some standard zoom that's short and not bright
