What will the 77D get that the 800D won't?

See subject. These appear to be refreshes to the very similar 750D and 760D, and we have two rumored spec sheets at present:

800D (the 750D follow up):

Number of effective pixels: 24.2 million pixels
Video engine: DIGIC 7
Dual Pixel CMOS AF
AF point count not listed so far

Burst: Up to 6 frames per second
ISO speed: 100 - 25600
Video: Full HD, 5 axis electronic image stabilization
Liquid Crystal: Type 3 Touch Panel Bali Angle LCD
Built-in Wi-Fi / Bluetooth
Size: 131.0 × 99.9 × 76.2 mm
Weight: 532 g

77D (the 760D follow up):

Top LCD = presumed based on profile/body similarities to 760D

Number of effective pixels: 24.2 million pixels
Video engine: DIGIC 7
Dual pixel CMOS AF
AF point: 45 points
Burst: Up to 6 frames per second
ISO speed: 100 - 25600
Liquid Crystal: Type 3 Touch Panel Bali Angle LCD
Built-in Wi-Fi / Bluetooth
Size: 131.0 × 99.9 × 76.2 mm
Weight: 540 g

So for some reason, the 760D refresh has been promoted to XXD status with the 77D name. What will it have above and beyond the 800D?

Will the 800D get the huge bump to 45 AF points as well, or is that the key difference (and he top LCD) between the two models? Will the 77D get AFMA?

Discuss!

For perspective, here are the differences between the 750D and 760D from TDP.

Summary of Canon EOS Rebel T6s (760D) and T6i (750D) Feature Differences

Top LCD Data Panel
Rear Control Dial
Multi-function Lock Switch
Single-Axis (Horizontal) Electronic In-Viewfinder Level
Servo AF in Live View for continuous tracking of moving subjects during burst mode shooting
Auto Display-Off Sensor
Mode Dial on Left Side
HDR Movie Capabilities
Digital Zoom in Movie Mode, featuring 3-10x w/o loss of quality

Everything's lining up like it's 80D sensor for the 77D and possibly for the 800D as well.

For those knowledgeable with AF/sensor relations, wouldn't 24 MP + DPAF somewhat imply the 800D has the same sensor as the 80D? And if so, would that not mean that the full 45 AF points are more likely than not?

I think 24MP+DPAF would be almost certainly same sensor as in 80D. I doubt there's any point in making a new sensor with same specs this soon (especially when this is canon, remember that 18MP sensor?).

But I don't see the connection between image sensor and AF sensor. ???

Yea, I agree it's most probably the same sensor. There's not necessarily any link between the AF sensor specs and the imaging sensor. They're two different sensors in different places in the camera body.
It's reminding me of the old 18mp sensor that Canon stuck in almost every crop sensor body a while back, from the 7D, 60D, t3i, t5 all the way to the t6 and t5i
