Why did you switch to RF?

Well…I was a big Canon user in the past, and had sold my gear (sad story). Getting back into it, Canon was an obvious, but knee jerk choice.

I am happy, don’t get me wrong, but the OM system has really caught my eye. Does most of what the Canon R5 does, perhaps some things a bit better… If I have more $$$ I would probably invest in one and a zoom or two…

So what happened to Nikon was your fault. I hope you at least posted your intent on nikonrumors so they saw it coming

I figured Nikon was doomed. Little did I realize it was actually Canon that was doomed.

FPS, buffer, eye-AF, AF on the whole sensor and the evolution to CFe cards.

I have no issues with resolution or IQ on my 5 D4. But several times I have hit the buffer and wanted more fps.

It's also important to keep watching nikonrumors anytime there is some criticism to remind everyone that the switch to canon happened and Nikon is doomed

You do highlight another key point about transitioning to RF, if you want to partake in any new gear, like RF lenses, you will need an RF body. So, yes, while not a key factor for me back in 2020 when I picked up my R5, this thought was in the back of my mind and critical for those that want any of the new RF lenses, like say a RF 28-70 f/2.
