Will Canon add Auto Capture to some of their cameras?

Nikon Z9 and Z8 have this feature and I would like to see it in the rumored R7 Mk II.
Auto capture makes it possible to set up the camera to take pictures automatically; like a wildlife camera.

Nikon has shown that it's possible to add this function in a firmware update.

Only Canon can make the determination of whether or not they will add a camera trap feature. It was a long time until they included an intervalometer, but they eventually did. Best thing to do is contact Canon directly and request the feature.

Really hope so, would actually lead to me getting a second body for wildlife. Can do a remote setup near hides and perches. Add auto capture with animal eye af and I could do a setup and go for a coffee haha.
