I don’t think that they will bother and gather pro photographers to release a consumer grade camera. I believe that they will save that for more professional equipments like cameras and high end printers. :P

Sure, if you want to carry around a heavy hunk of metal, you do that, the rest of us trust composite materials.
Atleast it ain’t prone to rusting, but I guess Nikon’s don’t need protection for that, seeing people never use them very long anyway.
