I have never discounted that there could be TWO new prosumer SLR's coming down the pipe. A 7D only would make very little sense spec wise. There would be no fast canon SLR other than the 50D and 1D Mark III (or IV when it's replaced). We have heard solid rumors in favor of both cameras existing.
These 60D specs are pretty wonky, a new sensor? I think Canon could improve the current 15.1mp sensor as they did with the XTI sensor to the 40D.

Yeap.
You cannot have a 35mm frame mirror box in a 50D body.
So what.
The 40D has that, a movable focus zone. It’s called ‘live view.’
I know that, the 5DMII has live view too but its way too slow and sucks so far, I never even use it, unless on tripod.
I want that to be like it’s now where instead of selecting the af point with the controller in the back BUT be able to place a larger AF focus bracket *anywhere* and see it in the viewfinder where the AF actually works tho:)
I have a feeling it will happen…its just a matter if time
