  1. … and definitely don’t forget about lens AF microadjustment – that feature alone makes it worth to get a newer version of the original 5D. And of course, the sensor dust removal, to stop it being a dust magnet the 5D is.

  2. What do you mean, you followed their record for some time? I wish you were right, but I’m not holdong my breath on this one. I mean a 7D which is better in pretty much every way than 5D2 except for a lower resolution, and even the latter not by much (21 v. 16 MP will be a convicing argument probably only to landscape photogs)… all at the same price? No way! Would kill most 5D2 sales instantly.

  3. Um…no. I was expecting it to have the same relation to the 5D that the 1D has to the 1Ds. How naive are you?

  4. And by it, I just mean that I was hoping for that type of camera. I don’t get what is wrong with that at all.

  5. Have you tried to use the auto focus for tracking birds in flight, or other objects that are moving quickly and changing distance related to the photographer? The autofocus is no good for those situations.

Granted, I would never try to us a 5DII for that since it isn’t designed for that type of work (imo), but it can be considered gimped when it comes to tracking objects using AI Servo. If you disagree than you haven’t tried to use it in that capacity.
