I have no use for the power zoom, but the 6 stops of lens IS will be great, since I’ll use the lens mainly on an R8.

Most likely because with a 35ms readout speed, Canon felt they had to give the R50 V a physical shutter curtain (just one, though)...

Not available yet here. There is a Canon 20-50mm lens available, but it’s the CN-E T2.4 version for $24K. I’ll wait a bit over two hours...
