i decide to share with all of you my past experience with Sony a7r II , one year ago i sold my 5d MK III and went to Sony a7 II then a7r II and i still keep my canon glasses .
today i sold my Sony camera after may be 6 month for many reasons :
if really you plan to move to Sony system you have to move to whole system with lenses other wise it's kinda useless and you will not enjoy most of features .
another point also it's not really that solid camera and i experience 2 times problem while shooting in snow plus some issues of compatibly even i buy the original grip and 3 original battery still i have to restart the camera and not only me its normal issues happen with a lot of Sony users .
focus system not that easy to deal with and what ever you have expensive adapter still you will have some problems i have to shoot 5 times to make sure my pics in right focus
i may do wrong and some of my friends told me that you are crazy ;D but am quite sure that i will not go wrong with canon 5d mk IV .
sony is good camera but may be i don't like it personally ...... your opinion guys about this moving is highly appreciated .

I´m writing in poor English too. I just can use about 2/3 of my brain and the impaired region is the Broca and Wernicke area.
But back to the topic:
In my family there are relatives working for sony, so they own a lot of their stuff. But my experience with the 7RII is quite the same. The service is awful and expensive, Af lacks and the capacity of the battery is a hoax.
But it produces really great shots if you know how to use it.
The 5DIV is more stable and has an excellent service from CPS. And so on and so on.... Overall I like the 5DIV it is an excellent workhorse for a lot of different situations. My personal experience (with the gear I owne/owned): My maximum used Isos are 3200 with the 5DIV/6D and 800 with the 7DII, 1 stop better than their predecessors. And if the light is quite ok and you just need an fast shutter speed, Iso 6400 will produce good images.
If possible, meet an someone who owns an 5DIV or join an Canon workshop where you are able to work with the 5DIV and compare it. If you post your country or reagion where you live, maybe an CR member can help you.
