It is good to see you back here after such a long absence, as for your photo, a beautiful subject but as you freely admit there are issues which you understand and will no doubt master, I have tried HDR and lack the perseverance to achieve even as good as yours, it is difficult and time consuming.
As for the wrong place, you posted landscape pictures in a landscape forum why is it wrong, just because it has a choice of subjects, I don't think so.
Cheers, Graham.
Dear Mr. Surapon,
Thank you for your beautiful photographs of Florida. I think the last 2 with the big, dramatic clouds would look great as black and white photos. I know, it's another thing to learn, but learning keeps us young.

Thank you, Sir, dear friend Mr. John.
Well, I still continue learning in every days.
Here is my B&W Photo by Photoshop 5.5
Have a great weekend, Sir.
Surapon
I like it black and white, good job!
John
THANK YOU, Sir
Have a great Sunday.

Thank you, Sir, dear friend Mr. kaswindell.
Glad that you like these photos of the skyscapers. I am from the rural small town in North Carolina----No skyscaper in my home town----Ha, Ha, Ha.
Good night, Sir.
Surapon.
I also live in a small town and enjoy looking up at skyscrapers when I travel to large cities. Are you certain that bumping into pretty ladies is a "mistake" ;-)
Yes definitely. Here in South Africa our local currency has lost more than 25% of it's value to the USD in the past 12 months. Our prices went up as a result.joejohnbear said:StudentOfLight said:This is a problem of globalization. There are differences in sales, marketing, distribution and technical costs from region to region. Does SP&A in the US cost the same as SP&A in Malaysia for example? Does technical staff cost the same in Europe as in South Africa? The answer if you were unsure is no they cost more in first world countries because salaries are higher in first world countries. Sales need to sustain these higher salaries.
In order for a business to budget effectively for sales, marketing, distribution, technical support etc... activities in a particular region they need to forecast sales per region and set pricing accordingly. If sales are leaking into a region from unauthorized channels then they are not paying for the sustainability of the required support and services in a region, some of which is needed to ensure products meet local government regulations (e.g. labels, safety regulations, environmental policies etc...)
Add to that currency fluctuations, no?

Not to get too far off topic. But by the same reasoning, one could say that whatever can be done by simple physics (light reflected by a mirror) should be done so. After all, physics is a lot more reliable and durable than solid state electronics.

Given that Canon has been for over a decade and still remains the market leader, I'd say rather that one WSJ writer/editor doesn't agree with the mainstream.
Hi Jon!jrista said:Rumor mill has been pretty slow on the DSLR front lately. I don't really care about specs so much, however I am very interested in a release date. My 5D III is LOOOONG in the tooth, and all the extensive hours I've used it for astrophotography, it's taken quite a few cosmic ray hits and has often operated at pretty high temperatures. That's increased hot pixel counts and it seems to be a bit noisier on average than before. Really need to get a replacement for it soon, and since I'm tethered to an EF 600mm f/4 L II, I really need a quality Canon camera with good frame rate and high resolution to replace it with.

Moire is explained by the Nyquist Theorem. Removing the AA filter just means you need to limit high frequencies in a image in a different way.
Digital cameras use a combination of a physical AA filter as well as a digital AA filter. As you get more pixels, the Nyquist frequency rises, so you can use less filtering to get needed detail.
Yes, but that doesn't alter the fact that there is no moire in this image at 100%, therefore it is not sensor/AA filter induced moire. The moire visible in the smaller versions is, as midluk said, produced by the resampling process, not the initial capture.

But they did choose white, I guess they did that for stealth against a bright sky.
Ever try to find a landed drone on pretty much any ground? White shows up best. So then the next question, why not white on the top and something darker on the bottom? Because when you lose them they often land wrong way up!
But if you asked me for a solution, I'd have it like a search and rescue vehicle, white with orange stripes, easy to see from top and bottom and against light and dark.

I love: Image quality, good high ISO performance, GPS & Wifi built-in comes in handy when I want to geotag & remotely trigger the camera with the phone.
Hate: AF is only 11-points and only center one is cross-type., no button for white balance (have to go through menus to do it)
Overall, it's a great purchase. But Canon should update it already!
If you shoot RAW do you really need a WB button? I can see why Canon decided to leave that one out now and one press of the Q button takes you into the menu where WB can easily be changed. I usually set WB before a shoot so changing it mid shoot isn't a priority. Also, I figure that Canon's Auto WB algorithms must be getting better as some people can just leave it there.
What would be nice is if the top LCD displayed what WB mode it was in.
How about the rest of you guys? Is no WB button an issue for you?

I can confirm this behavior. For critical shots, I've not been using adapted lenses (or the A7R2 at all).
Stability and AF performance both seem highly dependent on version of firmware. The 0.46 for A7RII makes a big difference, all my Canon lenses now focus fast and accurately except the old 100/2 which still seems a bit unstable.
