Thats kind of the problem at any given moment.

There are a TON of tutorials and videos out there, but hard to find which ones are the most up to date and relevant to the current versions out there.

Probably click-bait. However, there may be more patents around the Foveon sensor. I would have to say that one of the attractive features of Sigma is the now-high end manufacturing capacity in Japan. I have to say that there may be process improvements including and beyond the "QC every lens on a Foveon sensor-based automatic testing machine" that has helped Sigma achieve excellent optical consistency. All recent complaints about Sigma lenses are about AF issues, so far as I can tell. (About Sigma CAMERAS, the main complaint is the f*ing RAW conversion software!!!! - the main reason I get less use from my DP Merrill than expected).

The nightscape shot makes it look very promising.
- my excuse was going to be the filter size - 95mm filters are hard to find and expensive, but been there and done that
- 1,390 grams only; so roughly half pound heavier than the 85

I have the Zeiss 15/2.8, which also have 95mm, so I can reuse those. Apparently it is not available for quite some time, so ample time to make a decision ... (I am totally hooked on the other two though, so it´s probably a lost case ...)

Except it almost shrinks to the size of a S120 which is like 15% thinner than a RX100. Three years ago we were already amazed to have a 1" sensor in such small body and now it can be done in even smaller size, love to see how technology advance

I have the 24mm STM pancake for my 70D. In fact it is my default body cap if nothing else is mounted. It is a relatively compact package and I've taken the combo out a number of times, but I agree it is no compact camera.

Frankly I find the Canon M (original) + 22mm f/2 pancake combo to be much, much better for the ultimate in compact kit. An added benefit is the f/2 vs f/2.8 which leads to better bokeh (when desired) and better night time, low light shooting (bars, restaurants, night life in Manhattan, etc.).

So in short, if you are looking for a light/compact kit, the 70D + 24mm pancake just doesn't go far enough IMO. The M is about as good as it gets for small size while still getting an APS-C size sensor.

Canon's operator manual recommends that the format be done in camera, including if it was formatted on a different device. Formatting on a different device can cause confusion with the camera, especially with different operating systems. It only takes a few seconds each card to format in camera and maybe 10-15 for a low level format, although it isn't necessary to low level format every time.

It's not about what is said, it's about where the discussion is held. A non-political gear rumors site has a right to remain non-political and civil.

There are thousands of websites to discuss politics endlessly.

Other than either spreading unsubstantiated accusations and generating speculation, what is the point of the thread? What information was provided by the OP or any who followed that informs customers of the validity of claims made by a union looking for leverage going into a battle with B&H?

We don't know what efforts the reporter made to get B&H's side of the story. The "several attempts" could have been a few phone calls during a lunch hour.

The OP, just based on a one-sided story, has told us he/she is going to reconsider doing business with B&H. ahsanford, did you email B&H with your concerns?

All of these aspects, the flashpoints, the bias of the people telling their story as part of a union campaign, and, sadly, the source of the story, make this a political thread.

If CR wants political threads, fine--just restrict them to the appropriate sub-forums.

That name, TonerPirate is certainly going to catch Canon's eye. As CR Guy knows, Canon's attorneys can latch on to even a innocent site like Canon Rumors and make life hell. A smaller business advertising as being a pirate hasn't a chance.

Actually, this competes more with sony's A5100 which has the same sensor and focus system of the A6000 but no viewfinder and a slimmer flip screen body. The A5100 is $400, while the M10 is a rebadged M2 with a sensor from 2 generations ago at $600.

A5100 is body only at 400, 550 with lens (Amazon). M10 is kit only.

I am looking into buying an A3+ printer. Has anyone any comments to make about a sub-Pixma-PRO printers?
The printer PIXMA iP8750 is a good deal cheaper than the PIXMA PRO 100S and it comes with 6-ink system, i.e. besides the text black has the usual CMYK plus a gray ink, so it is better than the standard office-inkjets, but it lacks the light-magenta and light cyan inks the pixma pro 100 ueses. (Obviously, a pigment-based printer would be better still)

Do you consider the print quality of this iP8750 sufficient or inacceptable?
Does the pixma pro 100s offer a better print quality that justifies its higher price?

Will be interesting to see how well MF lenses sell in the face of the Batis line.

That's right, there were two, both introduced in 2000:

EF28-200mm f/3.5-5.6 and EF28-200mm f/3.5-5.6 USM

I definitely see a market for an new 28-200, but with IS like you said.

The 200-500 also costs 13.55% as much as the new Nikon 500f4E.

Or you could say the 500mm prime costs 737% as much as the 200-500.

Or if you use a crop camera, you could say you're getting a 750mm equivalent for 7.8% the cost of the 800f5.6E

Hey folks. I decided to buy a Zacuto EVF and it's fab for dealing with a missing tilt screen but I can't seem to find on the camera or in the user guide anything about mirroring the LCD over HDMI.

I know the 5D3 has this function and wondered if it's been removed from this one? Or is there a super secret way of accessing the menu.

I tried up, down, left, right, A, B , C and Start but nothing happened.

I just love the sound of this rumor!!!! I own one of their lenses for my MFT system...and it is an incredible lens. I like their approach. To photography and they "most times" create quality lenses....Iwould definitely be intrigued to see what they come up with as a digital camera body...I am thinking FF...right?....BRING IT ON!!!

Bad news, mine has developed this fault. Picked it up, tried to start it up but nothing happening. New Canon battery, nope still wont start. Shame as otherwise its been excellent. Guess this can happen to anything. Of to Canon CPS tomorrow. Fingers crossed its nothing to bad.
