What mechanics for a America DJ 200w 5R moving head light?

Can anybody please recommend a good quality and decent stage light for events at a reasonable price?

I need a new moving head light. I don't like wash light , so something on a stand is what I aim for.
It must be able to smooth scanning, horizontal scan 540 degrees, 260 degrees vertical scanning.

I originally bought two RGBW LED Beam Light Fixtures, but Some do not work right out of the box, and

others have issues after very little time or use. :)

For 1dx owners

What would you require in the next 1dx replacement body to make you upgrade? I can't think of much.
I will not upgrade if only:
1. It added 2 fps speed.
2. 4 mp.
3. Slightly larger spread of AF points.
4. 1/4 stop ISO improvement.
5. 4k (But that is because I actually use the 1dc)

I am so content with it that I would need something really special to want to upgrade. You?

{PROBLEM SOLVED. Bought the 7D II} Should I buy the 7D II or the Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM (

So here is the deal. I am looking for advise to see if my choice makes sense to you folks. I must admit that I have been coveting the 7D II even before the 5D III rumours came out. However, GAS is what it is and so I look for advise from folks who have the 7D II or the Sigma 150-600 (S) or both! Or others who would like to chime in. Just don't ask me to switch to another system unless you are funding me :P

I am in India and needless to say that closer to the equator, the light is quite OK. So this whole low light shooting bit with the 7D II does not worry me so much. I have the 5D III for low light so I am covered - or so I think - as I use MagicLantern on the 5D III. Have been using it for a loooooong time. But then, back to the question.

Much of my shooting (attempts :P) is bird photography. So more pixels on target is better. On the 5D III I believe that I get 8.66 M pixels for the same FOV as the 7D II. On the 7D II I believe it would be 20 M pixels. Another way to get more pixels on target is to get a longer lens. I currently have the 100-400L and with the 1.4x it gets me to 560mm on the 5D III. I loose some light and some AF speed. So I was thinking if I got the 7D II I would get to 640 mm equivalent @400 mm. Getting the 7D II would also get me a backup camera.

The advantage of the lens is also it's price. The down side of the lens is its weight. It is significantly heavier than the 100-400L. The lens seems to be sharp.

So people, what do you advise?

Thanks in advance.

7D2 & 600mm f4 ii for BIF?

I know that some people had success with the original 7d & the 600mm f4. I was out playing in Elkhorn Slough a few months back with a 5DIII and the 600mm II and the 5D struggled to focus on birds in flight. I'm not a pro so maybe I'm doing it wrong but I'm wondering if the 7D2 is going to be better for BIF.

I believe that the AF will be better but I've heard that part of the problem is power, it takes a lot of power to focus those big lenses. If you put a grip on there does that provide more power for focussing or is it only providing more shots before you have to switch batteries?

If money wasn't a big issue would you rather have the 1Dx or the 7D2 for BIF?

Sony making another DR leap? Some 21 stops in a 1.5" sensor?

http://www.eoshd.com/2014/11/new-sony-sensor-21-stops-dynamic-range-5120-native-iso-destined-high-speed-cinema-camera-smartphone/

It seems it's primarily intended for cinema...but still...14 stops at ISO 100, 21 stops at ISO 5120, and the thing doesn't drop below 10 stops until an insane ISO 655,360!?!?

Frickin nuts man...when the hell is Canon going to get into the sensor game?!!?!?!?!?! AAARRRRG!! :o :o :o

Bummer they are using a 16bit ADC...I guess with S-LOG they are basically shifting the shadow tones up in-camera, so in some ways they could be benefiting from that 21 stops...which is fine for video. For stills, they should really be using a 20-bit ADC. I guess we'll see if they stick this sensor in a stills body or not, but if they do...I certainly hope it would use 20-bit ADC.

Samsung NX1 - FF level quality in an APS-C?? Imaging Resource samples...

So...I was browsing around imaging resource, checking out the NX1 preview. I started comparing the sample images with the 7D II. I was blown away by the quality of the NX1 up through ISO 6400, and even 12800 for that matter. You can clearly tell the 7D II is noisier. So, I decided to compare with the 5D III.

All I can say is...WOW. I'm hooked on the NX1!! :P I think it may be my new high speed birding camera some time next year, assuming the lenses pan out. I think I'd get this before I got an A7r even...as I am well and truly impressed.

NX1: http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/samsung-nx1/FULLRES/NX1hSLI06400NR2D.HTM

7DII: http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/canon-7d-mark-ii/FULLRES/E7D2hSLI06400NR2D.HTM

5DIII: http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/canon-5d-mkiii/FULLRES/E5D3hSLI006400NR2D.HTM

The NX1 has more megapixels than even the 5D III, and the noise is just about as clean. The NX1 definitely has lower chroma noise. The links above are NON-normalized...I intend to normalize once I get home, and once normalized, I expect the NX1 may even TOP (!!) the 5D III for ISO6400 IQ. Now that would be a thing of wonder...an APS-C with BETTER IQ than an FF?? Noo! Say it ain't so! :P

The 5D III does seem sharper...not sure why. It almost seems as though the lens is not fully focused with the NX1...but, that kind of seems to be par for the course for IR. I've never felt they get the best example images.

Another source of examples, although not comparisons, is Luminous Landscapes review of the NX1:

http://www.luminous-landscape.com/reviews/cameras/samsung_nx1_first_impressions.shtml

The bookshelf examples near the bottom are just mindblowing. The IQ up through ISO 6400 is just amazing. It starts to fall apart after that, but still...I am extremely impressed by the IQ from this BSI ISOCELL sensor at ISO 6400.

I think Sony has a real competitor. Samsung is another electronics powerhouse...I am very curious to see how they do in the marketplace. I love that they have produced a DSLR-style mirrorless body, instead of some micro-cramped body like the Sony A7 series. I think it is much more along the lines of what I have been looking for, and in comparison to the 7D II...it seems the NX1 tops it in just about every category except lens selection (and, if the adapters work well, that may not even be an issue...and certainly won't be an issue for terribly long, as Samsung is already working on some nice big white supertelephoto lenses.)

Patent: Contact Cleaning Body Cap

<p>Here’s a fun one, howabout a body cap that cleans the contacts in the camera every time you put it on and take it off? Mix that with a backcap that does the same and that should eliminate those pesky contact errors.</p>

Landscape Lens for Crop To Make Me Go Wow!

I have a 650D with the the 18-135 STM kit lens. Its a pretty decent lens and I have taken some good photos with it. However, I bought a 70-300 L lens and it was like wow! A quite noticeable difference in image quality. I've also got the 50 1.8 II from which I also get some fantastic images (when it nails focus which it doesn't always seem to do especially in low light). Now I want a lens at the wider end for landscape photos which will make be go wow!

I've read about the EF-S 10-18 and the EF-S 10-22 lens but are they much of a step up quality wise from the 18-135 I am already using? I am trying not to equate $ with quality but these seem quite inexpensive so not sure they will give me the wow.

Other lens under consideration are the 17-40L, 16-35, Sigma 18-35. I was leaning towards the Sigma but the inconsistent focus issues I've read about are cause for concern. Also here in Australia Canon are running a cashback offer - buy a camera body and get up to $200 back, buy another Canon product in same trans and get the same value cashback. Since I was looking to upgrade to a 70D ($150 rebate), buying a Canon lens would get me a further $150 rebate. EF-S lens are ok since I am not looking to upgrade to FF any time soon.

Any thoughts? What will make me go wow?

Review: Sigma 50mm f/1.4 ART for Canon

HTML:
<p>Dustin Abbott has completed a very in-depth review of the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 ART series lens for Canon. There’s a written review, a video review as well as a sample gallery for you to check out. I agree with most of what Dustin says about the lens, especially the part where this lens is leaps and bounds better than the 50mm lens it replaces. I tend to use the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 ART more often than the Canon 50mm f/1.2L, as I find the AF inconsistencies from the Sigma are far easier to deal with than the focus shifting of the Canon 50mm f/1.2L.</p>
<p><iframe width="500" height="281" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/BqpViujzkis?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p><strong>From DustinAbbot.net

</strong><em>“All in all, Sigma has made a major breakthrough in creating a large aperture prime with world class optics that is in a price range that most professional and many amateur photographers can afford. While the stated “target” is the Zeiss Otus, there will actually be fairly few photographers that are cross-shopping these two lenses. The Otus is still the optical king and enjoys a certain cache that Sigma can’t touch. But the Sigma is a far more practical lens for most photographers, as most photographers need autofocus for their work. The inconsistency in the AF performance is a concern, but the truth of the matter is that there are a variety of focus concerns with other 50mm lenses, too. The AF in the 50mm ART is snappy and (most of the time) accurate. I have already used the lens in professional settings and have been mostly pleased with the results.  I wouldn’t hesitate to use it professionally in the future. This is an excellent lens that sets a new benchmark for autofocusing 50mm lenses.”</em><strong>
