Well, yes, manual mode greatly helps against overexposure in daylight with shadows.

It also helps that on R5, ISO in manual mode is assigned (at least by default) to the Mode dial.

Nice series ERHP. Gosh that 600 f/4 looks good. Maybe someday I’ll own one but that price point is just to much for my blood.

First day for weeks when good light and my workload allowed me to go out and have fun with birds.
This robin was quite cooperative. Looking through my pics, it seems to be the first decent robin in 2023.
