I can't see any improvement.

There is a shot from inside looking outside that completely falls apart but the interior is very under exposed. The 10,000 iso portrait cleans up very well but it depends on how much noise reduction you personally like.
And which converter are you using?

Because - as we all know - that makes a big difference...

Well not if you are making comparisons. If I develop 5D MkIV and EOS R images in the same converter and compare them that is a fair comparison, that one converter might do a better job than another doesn't matter for a comparison.

But they are uploaded as DNG's because the out of camera RAW files are not yet workable widely, and I used Lightroom to play with them. To be sure I am not saying Adobe are the best RAW processor for either the 5D MkIV or the R, but it is a comparison not an ultimate quality test.
