Old EOS body -> IP Camera

Anyone aware of any conversion kits that allow you to re-purpose an old SLR into an IP camera?

e.g. Tether the SLR to a device (Android or iOS device for example) that monitors the live-view for motion and can send motion events via e-mail similar to an IP camera.

Alternatively an inexpensive IP camera with an EF mount so you can put your un-used 400mm lens to use. (e.g. to monitor a bird house.) etc...

the DSLR should have live view, meaning it wouldn't be that old...
for monitoring a bird house i want to use something like this: http://www.cameraaxe.com/
i've made my own, i just need a proximity sensor and a bird house :D

you could also use this as a trigger for when something moves into view but you still need a way to transfer the image somehow...which is tricky on old cameras but you wouldn't need live view this way

There are a number of ways to use that old live view camera as a monitor. Live View started with the 40D long ago now.

USB to Network adapters are a mature product. http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&page=1&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3AUSB%20over%20IPCanon's wireless Adaptors allow the use of Wi-Fi which then can link into a network.

Cam Ranger does a similar thing for a few $$ less.
