My new 1 Dx 2 arrived yesterday too me which is epic , but does anyone have any general sport settings they use ? or should i just carry over the previous settings id done on the previous 1DX ?

Feedback would be appreciated.

Not specific to 1dx2 but i often use manual mode and auto iso to keep the shutter speed up. New model though offers antiflicker setting which is a god send when shooting under stadium lights both inside and out. It does monkey with the shutter timing but so far i have not had any issues.

Many thanks ive copied all my 1DX settings across, so ill have a tinker on the weekend

With 5-6 screens of my menus options, I full use these.

Here are some of my setting

format
battery
Speedllite control
MLU
# bracketed shots


ISO speed settings (for auto ISO)
long ex noise reduction
High iso NR
GPS settings
Date/time

Image copy
LCD brightness
sensor cleaning
record function
custom shooting modes
Viewfinder display

As I get to screen 3 most of the setting are rarely used but easier to find them here than in the menu structure
