1DX Focusing Screen

OK I've been a bit of an idiot and marked the focusing screen on my 1Dx. It came back from Canon Service today after getting the sensor cleaned for the issue described in this post; http://www.canonrumors.com/forum/index.php?topic=11331.0 . Sensor a lot cleaner but not perfect, 3 noticeable bodies on it, tried activating the sensor cleaning several times to no avail.

Anyway on taking the camera out of the box I looked through the viewfinder to see a foreign body right in the middle of the viewfinder. How it could leave the Service Centre with that I don't know. So got the blower out to give it a couple of gentle wafts and it slipped and its marked the focusing screen. Does anyone know if there are focusing screens out there that fit the 1Dx? I can see the EC-D fits the 1 Series camera but apart from a place in New Zealand which says that fits the 1Dx I cant see anywhere else that says there is one.

Its not the end of the world, only really noticeable if I'm looking at a plain'ish image that I can see it but if I have to send it off to Canon to get it replaced I would.

Any help appreciated.

The focus screen is user replaceable. The stock screen that came with your camera is the EC-CV ($39, B&H link, not sure about local sources for you), and it comes with the little tool you need to swap them out.

The Ec-D (grid screen) will fit the 1D X, as well.

I did the same thing to my 5D3 when I got it (was dirty straight from the factory). I ended up using the sensor clearer solution on it and it left horrible streaks across the screen. That one isn't user replacement so I had to send it in and Canon replaced it for free through CPS. On the 1DX for a few bucks more it would be a lot faster to just buy a new screen and replace it.

Chris I ordered one last night from Park Cameras in the UK, £35 inc postage. To be honest it was on my mind to get in touch with Canon given that the camera came back less than perfect from them. It went in with a dirty sensor as described in the post link above and came back with something in the middle of the viewfinder which wasn't there when it went away to them. However I thought it would be easy to clean and I ended up making things worse. Because of that I don't know if the dirt that is now on my sensor, 5 or 6 distinct spots, was there before I mucked around with the blower, so I'm a bit hacked off. I've owned 4 DSLR's before I bought the 1Dx and never had a problem with dirt on the sensor, the total cost of those cameras was way less than that of the 1Dx so taking that into consideration its pretty damn poor on Canon's part that I had to send it away in the first place.
