I picked up a 24-70 f4 last week at London Drugs in Vancouver for $799. It seems like a good deal at that price. I've been putting off having a normal zoom for years but I think with this one I've found my match. For a full-frame L lens it's compact and relatively light, and very well balanced with the 6D. I've been looking for something particularly for outdoor activities, hiking, skiing etc.
I have to spend a lot more time with it but first couple days I've really loved using it. And the macro function so far seems very worthwhile for close up shooting.
Here are a few first shots from this week around Kimberley, British Columbia.
