Ive been using and loving the 28 1.8 on 50D then 7D over the last 3 years.

It's been a great video lens on the 7D.

Planning for the 5d3 by Summer (lost my place in line, and decided to wait a few months).

But I've been wanting the 35 1.4 all this time.

Together w 50 1.4 and 100 2.0 and 70-200 4is I've been happy.

Curious on how much improvement in IQ I may gain with the 35 over the 28.

Usually shooting in low light at 2.0 or wider.

Opinions?? Thank you in advanced.

I have been using the 28 1.8 on my 7D for a while as well and been fairly pleased with it. More because of its focal length and speed than the IQ it produces though. I just upgrade to the 5DIII and when I was trying out the cam in the store I had the chance to do that in combination with the 35L, and wow, what a difference! I first thought it was entirely because i was trying it on a better camera, so I tried it with my 7D instead and it's also a great combo! A huge improvement on the 28. Colours, contrast, sharpness, bokeh and build. You name it! think you would be very happy with it. It's my next purchase as well!
