Last year Canon snubbed the Focus On Imaging Event here in the UK
a grave dissapointment to many.

This year they are back.
We will definatly get to see the new 1dX

What are the chances that if the 5d III is announced on Friday 2nd that we may even see a copy at Focus?
Maybe even some lenses and the flash announced..

Canon have got some making up to do for letting us all down last year.

My guess is that you not get even close to the canon stand this year with all the hype.

As it starts Sunday, hopefully there should be some way of finding out - I know i'll be checking in - i'd imagine the vendors on the floor would like to have it there as it'll be a great attraction, and help pre-orders!

I hope so - I am going on the Tuesday

make sure you take the 400 2.8 so you can get some pics from the back of the que :D
or are you going to camp out?

The technique is to wear a high-viz jacket and just say 'excuse me' and gently walk through the crowd. The English are too polite to say no to someone who might be an official :D

I will have the 40D with the 55-250 attached tucked under my coat.

I am cutting back on my spending so I will be looking at the 41mp mobile phones :o :o :o

good call, but will 41MP give you enough to be able to crop still?

I will be relying on getting an eos adaptor for the phone so I can use the 400 f/2.8 with it. I am concerned though that the phone will capture more detail than the lens can deliver.

I am a loyal Samsung phone user but because they haven't come out with a high mp Galaxy then it is a potential sale they have lost to Nokia. I expect a personal apology from the CEO of Samsung complete with the date when they are going to deliver a 50mp phone for $99

There's a famous scientist here in australia called Dr Karl, one of his favourite theories is that you can get anywhere in this country if you wear blue overalls and carry some sort of toolkit-looking case.
I'd fill it with lenses and memory cards, maybe mount an ND400 filter on a few so you can take some iso100,000 shots on the 1DX before anyone notices...
