I'm thinking that coupon was meant only for the 5D2, it doesn't appear to work with other bodies/kits.

I bought it. With overnight shipping, out the door price was $1772.89 USD. I decided against free ground shipping, as I think the less the lens is handled by UPS the better.

There seems to be more in stock. Don't think I will find a better price than this, especially coming directly from Canon.

Hmm, I used use the same coupon code 20SLR412 & the free shipping use code NEW412 and it worked for my purchase of the 70-200 2.8 II.

Appears the code works only for refurbished goods, so that was my problem. Not sure if I missed that detail somewhere on the thread.

I am debating on getting my first DSLR today and was wondering how often these sales happen.

If the 5d2 was still available I would buy it. I was looking at getting a T3i recently, but was thinking about waiting until the t4i info shows (if it does).

So my question is should I just bite the bullet and get a t3i? Or should I jump up a level to the 60d with lens?

Any recommendations? t3i w lens after discount is $544, 60d w 18-135 is $831.

I have been photographing concerts and festivals for about four years with my Canon Sx1 megazoom and now my Canon s100.

How much better is the 60d over t3i? I want to invest in lenses mostly, but want something of good quality. I would rather spend the extra $ on a 5d2 over the 7d in the next price range.

Went ahead and got the 60d w 18-135 shipped for $900. Been debating getting a DSLR for too long. This gives me a step up from the T3i.
