For IQ the 1Ds3 is the best Camera Canon has, that you can buy. (1Dx isn't out at the time of writing).

Guaranteed, no contest. I use it for every wedding and portrait I do.

I own a 5D2 and 1D4 as backup.

The only things better are medium format and film.

The skin tones from the 1Ds3 have the edge of those from the 5DII - cant say why though, just look better
