The additional resolution you will see by upgrading the 300mm is fractional with the corners better. IS and weight are more important IMO for that upgrade, you will see their benefit in real world use easier than the small increase in resolution. The old 300mm is a great lens.
Owning the 5Ds R I would recommend going with it. You will see a noticeable increase in resolution. Although it is also fractional it is very noticable IMO. I would go with the 5Ds R over the 5Ds, but only you know if you intend to shoot subjects prone to moire.
