It seems I am not the only one who was very pleantly surprised with the IQ that comes out of the 24-105 5D3 Kit Combo!!

I love the DOF on the first shot! My favorite of the set.

Is the last one using the HDR function?

The second photo - was there any additional source of light from your side (camera's side)? If no, then well - great! Sun in front, bumper in front of you should be total in the shadow but the picture in this area is contrasty as the sun was in the opposite side. I'm totally impressed!

I didn't use the HDR function for any of these shots. The first shot I added a tilt shift filter in PS CS6. The 4th shot was definitely the most processed of them all. I used both Lightroom and Photoshop to get what I wanted.

All shots were taken in RAW > Then processes in Lightroom 4 > and finally Photoshop for photos 1 and 4

While i like the shots i am hung up on the Subaru, I friggen love those suby rally cars! I used to watch speed channel and before that FIA World Rally. I still have some videos and love watching the drivers completely wrench out every horse power out of them!

I'm still a complete noob when it comes to this camera, and full frame cameras in general. I do a lot of DSLR video, but have a new found passion for photography. I moved from a T3i to a 5DMKIII and I really enjoy the camera!

I am PS user and do not use LR. What functions does LR have that you cannot do in PS.

I am PS user and do not use LR. What functions does LR have that you cannot do in PS.

There's nothing that I do in LR that can't be done in Photoshop. However, LR is much more user friendly when it comes to "Developing" a photo. It's very focused on the photography adjustment side of things, whereas PS can do those things, it also does a billion other things as well.

Basically my workflow is to Develop the photo in LR and if I have need for photo manipulation, or the use of filters, I use PS.
