I'm torn ... I think I want the new 100-400 v. 2, but need to sell this sharp/fast 400 to be able to get it ...
Hmm... nice shot, but "too clean" for my taste and your background "bokeh" miss out one small area... ;D

Have a nice day.

Great camera, great pictures! :)
May I ask an Off Topic question?

The paws of the deer have been cropped. I'm sure I won't be able to sleep anymore until someone tells me whether "standard cropping rules" for animals' bodies exist or not.

Thanks in advance.

Camera torture test.... Very dim light, half the frame white, the other half black, and shot at ISO 51,200. Very different from my old E-300 which only went to ISO 1600 and anything 800 and over was unusable... Digital cameras have come a long way....

So here is our cat Leo. Taken with the 7D II and 18-135 @135. The first one is 1/50, f5.6, 400 ISO with the popup flash. The second one is 1/200, f7.1, 400 ISO and flash. I think it came out well :)

Nice shot, but in it, the "legs" add little to it -- I'd have cropped it at the shoulders and left the legs out entirely. Any part of the legs looks awkward in this shot. The head and antlers are the true subject here ... just my opinion.

This image was taken with a 7d mark ii with the Samyang 35mm T1.4 Cine Lens attached while I was out recording some random footage. I love this camera, this thing is SHARP!

As always, feedback is welcomed, as I am trying to become a better photographer.

Bald Eagle over Lake Mendota.

Hey PCM. Nice shots. Great opportunity with a very fine looking eagle. Thanks for sharing.

I'd suggest you try bumping the shutter speed up a bit. 400-800 ISO is excellent on the 7D2 and a shutter speed of 2000-2500 will make BIFs appear sharper. I try to get to 1 / 4 x effective focal length for fast moving birds. So for 640mm I shoot for 1/2500th if there is enough light.
