These are with the Sigma 105mm macro. BTW what I wrote above for the butterfly is not correct: they are taken with Tamron SP 90mm macro: I used for them my daughters camera and didn't notice it's with "my" macro-lensVery nice close ups. Im especially like the second one.
I think when they are freshly "hatched" they are always in that position: gravity is helping to pump body liquid into the wings in order to stretch and make them usable for flight. In that process the wings are very vulnerable to any branches, leafs e.t.c. that may touche and deform them.I like its inverted position.
