From what the article says about the R5c update, which will also cut the time it take to switch from video to photo (and visa-versa), it looks like all cameras may be in for a boost in AF capabilities.

A new AF mode, roughly translated as Variable Tracking Frame “追尾枠の可変”, will allow the camera to trace the subjects outline.
