Hello, Im thinking about getting a new walk around lens. I do half and half on portraits and just random pics with my friends. Im just wondering its it worth to get the 50mm (MK1) for 150$ or should i just save up some money for the 85mm 1.8. I use a 5d2, and i was wondering for walk-around purpose, would 85mm be too long? or should i consider the 50mm 1.4. Thank You ^^

I guess it depends on your budget, but the 24-105L would be an excellent choice.

50 f/1.4. You can always crop but you can't make the lens wider. The 50 f/1.4 weighs 5 oz more than the 50 f/1.8, but on a 5DII, you're probably not going to notice the weight difference much -- in fact, the 50 f/1.4 would probably feel more "balanced."
